A sterling premiere exhibition of classic UK freeride

nickkennardone

Remolition presents the first installment of great British mountain boarding from Lensman Nick Kennard.
This selection is of freeride sessions from last xmas, great shots capturing the feel of riding in the (more remote) great outdoors- you can really sense the weather! From groms to pros, tracks to woods, Nick captures riders and places them within the bigger picture; allowing the whole riding environment to be admired and respected. But see for yourselves...

First off though, a bit about the man:

He 's happily married to the lovely Fiona and father to mini-rippers Monty (11), George (9) and Matilda (7).

He rides a Trampa ("very badly - I have the wrong power to weight ratio to ever be any good!!") Fiona rides an MBS Vixen, Monty rides an MBS Leon, George rides an MBS Comp 6, and Matilda is starting on a Scrub Photon. They all love mountain boarding for 2 main reasons...

" 1, it's exciting and loads of fun,  2, most of the people we meet are really lovely! "

They mostly ride at Hales Superbole but love getting out for a bit of freeriding.
Photography is more of a hobby for Nick but he's very passionate about it- "I now have about 20,000 shots of mountain boarding! I continuously experiment in the hope of improving my photos. Every time I think I'm getting better, I find another photographer that makes me feel like a novice".

The freeride photos here were taken at Mam Tor (Near Buxton, Derbyshire) on 21st December 2008  "over the moors and then down the disused road", Macclesfield Forest on 28th December 2008 - "Rhys had just got a new job at Monster and he turned up with loads of the stuff", and Delamere Forest (Cheshire) January 2009. Also in the woods behind Hales.

Keep an eye out for more of Nick's work appearing on Rem. Now highslide the pics!
