  • How ya doing?
  • I'm alrite thankyou! Yourself?

  • Yeah, we're all good, sitting comfortably?
  • Yeah as comfy as im gonna get!

  • Good good, so, when did you first get into boarding and how?
  • Fwaaa, I think I started when I was 14? 6 years ago.

  • So how did you discover it?
  • I just started cos a mate I knew did it, so me and another guy thought it could be a laugh. Both got boards and it just went from there really. I'd never skated or snowboarded before. So it was a pretty random thing to start doing!

  • I'm sure this isn't the first time you've been asked it, but with all the jibbing, why a noSno which is known as a board more for freeriding by many people?
  • I dont know really, I mean the 1st board I had was a scrub, I mauled that after a year and got a nosno. I just like the way it feels. The deck and the trucks work together really well, and it is a very good freeride board but slap some wee wheels on it and it doesnt weigh to much so its great for freestyle as well. I mean I can change it to match whatever im rding

  • True, and a perfect sales pitch there. Onto your photography, were you into it before you started boarding or did it develop through boarding?
  • I started taking photos a couple of years after I started riding. It kind of linked in with riding quite well

  • Do you recommend anything to other mountain boarders to get good photos, or is it just something you learn with time?
  • Be trigger happy with it, when I take photos I try to take alot, and I mean at least 75% of them are rubbish but if you take enough you will get some good ones. Just with time you figure what angles work and what doesn't.

  • I suspect I know the answer to this but would you call yourself a mountain boarder who takes photos, or a photographer who mountain boards?
  • Mountainboarder who takes photos for sure, I have found it tough to take riding photos this year cos iv been on the board so much. I havnt really sat down by the sidelines much to take photos

  • I heard you've got someone else pointing cameras these days. And now for about as techy and geeky as we're gonna get, digital or film, and why?
  • Erm digital for me! Because im impatient and cant wait for things to develop and because I cant afford to buy lots of film

  • As I'm sure everyone knows your part of the BFC, and end up on alot of road trips, especially living in Scotland, whats the most important thing to take on a boarding road trip.... other than boards, clothes and tents?
  • Hmmm well I dont normally take a tent when I go away! Thats not very important for me! I think an address book. So you can get in touch with people you never know where your gonna end up.

  • I like the style
  • Or whats going to happen

  • Best thing thats happened on the road with bfc?
  • I cant think of just one! Jack being sick on a train was one of my personal favorites

  • Go on then... a few..
  • Courchevel was great miniramp sessions there

  • With all the mountains.... the miniramp was the best?
  • And our day out at the biggest indoor play area in europe! ah no the mountains where the best! But it was good after a hard day in the hills 2 chill out on the mini with a beer of 4

  • Yeah, sounds awesome. And the worst?
  • The worst..... I knocked my false tooth out on tour and had to get it put back in in Gloucester walking around for 3 days with one of my front teeth missing got me alot of abuse. I had glandular fever on the scotland tour aswell. That was pretty lame

  • Not goood... your upcoming video with the bfc, anything you wanna say about that?
  • WELL, its going to be very very free

  • Sounds good for mountainboarders
  • We've spent I think more than 5 weeks filming it, its going to be really good! From what jacks showed me its looking great!

  • Can't wait, and when can we expect the goodness?
  • The trailer will be out soon after christmas and the dvd will be done around may I think?? The plan is to have some kind of launch do but we'll see

  • Metal or plastic?
  • Metal

  • Red or blue tyres?
  • Black, I did the whole coloured thing and they wore away real quick so I stick to black now. Makes my board look like a racing car

  • Yeah.. after a good session at haredown coloured tyres do look a bit worse for ware. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
  • 4 or 5 at various levels of falling to peices

  • Beer or cider?
  • Beer

  • How big would a mountain board have to be before it became the first ever mountain board bus?
  • Mmmmmm..... well it would need to take at least 6 people to be classes a bus I think? Dont hold me to that number though

  • This is a legal document by the way well, thats about it
  • Dang

  • Have a good evening
  • You as well!
