3 photographic views of Italian downhill mountainboard action On July 3rd, many of the world's keenest downhill riders met in Bardonecchia, Italy (near the French border) for the WDHC's 2010. This stunning location saw the challenging yet fun descent starting high up on grass, going through woodland and down gravel fire-roads, before hitting more green stuff and the finish line... We've brought together three fine photographers who were on that magnificent mountain to document the dynamic downhill mountainboarding motion... ready? Go! Charlie Steve Dagna is a sport's photographer from Italy. Here is a selection of his great shots. Giulia Baldini is a Communications Media student and also girlfriend to legendary European rider Guido. Check out her pics! Stomp (not his real name we think...:) is a long-time NoSno rider who lives in Chamonix. He surfs and snowboards too. Here are his mountainboard downhill championship photos, including the compulsory podium shots revealing the winners! G For a post-race interview with winner Pete 'NoSno' Tatham see here. To see vids of the course check DirtCorner on youtube here> practise run by Pete Tatham, practise run by Tom Kirkman. Many thanks to all. Ciao! GF |
