The third episode of rolling tv looks at the fattest and thinnest members of Wx riding.

Fayjay says:
Are you intimidated by the power of the fat
Remolitions says:
How long have you been riding
Fayjay says:
Well all depends what you mean by riding? I´ve been riding proper for 3 to 4 years in the woods and riding hard at comps. Before that I spent about a year or so riding grass fields with Tristan in switch (Tristan Fayjays long time riding buddy has just discovered he´s really a goofy rider after 5 years in regular).
Remolitions says:
How did you start riding?Fayjay says:
After appearing on Fear Factor I realised I needed something more interesting to do after 8 years of working in gyms suddenly seemed uninteresting. I spotted an Exit Camouflage in Halfords. This first attracted my attention to mountainbaording. When I went to get one though, they said it was just a fad and they don´t sell them anymore. So I got a toaster off the internet instead.
Remolitions says:
Did it make good bread?Fayjay says:
No it made good toast, toasters don´t make bread.
Remolitions says:
How long have you have been filming?Fayjay says:
Probably started filming after I started boarding, I was an illustrator which moved onto photography, and it seemed logical to go from stills to moving images so I picked the video camera. First of all started off filming just me and tris, which was more to learn what we were doing wrong, laugh at ourselves, maybe make a video and send it off You´ve Been Framed..We never got our 250 pounds, but it did help us improve. Then as time went meeting and filming more riders things evolved from there.
Remolitions says:
Tell us a bit about the Our Terrain project.Fayjay says:
It was kind of 3 yrs in the making. After collecting lots of general footage from riding in the woods with mates. I started to see bits of footage which looked quite good and then started thinking that´s good but needs a bit more of this or could do with being shot from a different angle. So then went back to the same spots and shot some more footage, so I had better footage to work with. Then it was just a case of going thought it all.
Remolitions says:
Is this how WX came about?Fayjay says:
I wouldn´t say Wx came from that. A group of us always rode together at weekends and we felt we were unrepresented in the area, and felt we should name ourselves.
Remolitions says:
As well as making films you are still a keen rider. Does this have an effect on the films you make?Fayjay says:
Ummm… I like watching back footage which looks as fast as it is, and hate stuff that looks slower, Our Terrain is drawn from about 300hrs of footage, and if I had my way it would have only been 20 minutes, but editing it killed my computer, hence the 30 minute addition.
Remolitions says:
What are your plans for the upcoming season of riding and filming?Fayjay says:
I think I´ve got 2 things in my mind, I want to push my riding and my filming. But while doing both its hard for either to get as good as I want. Because when I ride, I want to film and when I film I wanna ride. It´s just finding a balance between riding and filming, it´s differ cult. Hopefully concentrating on short films will allow more freedom to make the videos when I have the footage and put them out easier
Remolitions says:
Is this were the idea for Rolling TV come from?Fayjay says:
Yah after Our Terrain, which was well received, but making DVDs feasible time and money wise is very hard, and I just want people to see my videos, which lead me to the idea of Rolling TV
Remolitions says:
How do think your approach is different for the other filmers in mountainbaording?Fayjay says:
I´m firstly a rider, and then a cameraman, and I try to bring them together, whereas many other people out there are either one or the other. I think it means that I take a different approach to the video, more of a boarder´s point of view.
Remolitions says:
Do you have many influences?Fayjay says:
The collective and Rome (mountain bike flicks), love how their shot and aspire for my videos to look that good. A lot of the other mountainboard videos are more leaning towards the way snowboard videos are shot. But with mountainboarding I feel it´s a lot closer to mountain biking since they both tend to use the same terrain
Remolitions says:
Do you see yourself making another DVD?Fayjay says:
I´ll leave it open, coz the sports still young, and I´m getting older, so one day I may become more film based, and if finances allow it then I´d move that way, it´s more because it´s a hobby and not a career.
At this point we moved on to talk about a couple of fajay´s other projects
Remolitions says:
Last year you did a lot of work with the forestry commission to get riding access to their woods, how did this come about?Fayjay says:
The forestery commission threw us out of our first big spot, W1. So I started talking to the wardens to see if we could sort something out so we could have access again. From there I got passed up through all the bosses who ended with speaking to the head of recreations for the whole of England. We then worked on getting a code of conduct in place to cover all mountainboarding on their land. Which was introduced in the spring07.
Remolitions says:
Did this lead to your current work with the local council?Fayjay says:
Yah Herts police contacted us about reducing ASBO rates in the three counties area through diversionary projects. Dacorum council liked the idea of mountainboarding and are now working with us to provide free mountainboarding lessons for kids in the area
Remolitions says:
Any funny storeys you would like to share?Fayjay says:

This kid came up to us and said How do you pronoce it, I can´t work it out" confused pronounce what? So he goes on is it pronounced wookesss I´m still confused whats pronounced wooksss?
