A BFC vid? Like This! Like This ReviewThe first thing that you notice when watching this DVD is the obviously huge amount of time that has been spent planning, filming and editing it, with a slickness not expected from a film with a budget of next to nothing. Impressive stuff. The riding is of course fan and indeed jib-tastic, with the BFC being joined by a host of top riders including a painfully stylish section from AJ Lawson & Tom Kirkman. If you're hot on your snowboard flicks you'll probably notice the BFC's influences, such as Robot food and Ubermovie, however in addition to that with Like This you really get the impression of a group of friends riding together, as opposed to simply a group of top riders coming together to make an impressive film. The massive variation of the types of location in the film also help it to appeal to all mountainboarders, with everything from freestyle at Bugs Boarding to freeride in the Alps or Pete Tathem at Cleeve Hill and plenty of jibbing mixed in for good measure. It also departs from the style of most other mountainboarding flicks since it shows the sport as opposed to the gnar death blood boarding which is often portrayed, in the way I see a days riding, a right laugh with my mates. The only issue I did have with the DVD was its length, leaving you gagging for more shweet riding action, however this is quickly forgotten as the film ends with you simply wanting to ring all your mates, trek over to your local spot and let the fun ensue.
I would also like to mention Pleisure Holidays, Bugs Boarding, More MTB, ATBshop, Lush Longboards, Crillpix, MBS Europe, NoSno, Alpsgear and the ATBAUK who have very kindly enabled everyone to get their grubby mountainboarder hands on the DVD at the massive price of nothing. We love like this: oh yeah, oh yeah, BFC, uh-huh. |
