Dirt Flirt hits the ground rolling... IMG_2791 copy

The latest bundle of Dirt Flirt graduates have just been flung out of Hales Superbole after another gruelling mountainboarding Girly weekend in sun-kissed Cheshire. Sugar and spice and all things nice ...this camp showed the boys what the girls are REALLY made of! With no shortage of guts and charisma, the camp was set to be a success from the start as the girls hit the lush slopes under the expert guidance of the Hales Superbole ATBA qualified instructors.

Lady-owned internet board sports retailer Boardology.co.uk teamed up with Hales Superbole Mountainboarding Centre for the second year running to introduce girls to the adrenaline fuelled sport of mountainboarding in a relaxed, all-girl environment, and to provide the opportunity to already accomplished riders to polish their technique and style.
Sarah Woodvine who won the best advanced freestyle rider award said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to ride with other like-minded up for it girls who love the thrill and rush of being attached to a board and push you out of your comfort zone. An excellent way to progress in a non-threatening, girl orientated, fun loving environment. Boardology goes out of its way to ensure the girls are well looked after, pampered and showered with amazing goodies and prizes whilst Hales Superbole ensures second to none tuition, a fantastic setting and the best bonfires!!"

IMG_2771 copyDay one of the camp the group was divided into ability level, newbies spent the morning being taught the basics such as carving and powersliding whilst the advanced group were shown top tricks for tackling and pushing the boarderX course to the max and how to kick some amazing jumps in the freestyle bowl.

Progress was rapid so after delicious home-made cupcakes and tea (!) the beginner group attempted more daring feats such as rollers and kickers whilst the advanced girls nailed the freestyle bowl, going high. At sun down the bruised but cheerful group headed off to the pub for a hearty meal then retired to the warmth of the campfire, toasted marshmallows and sipped on paper cups of bubbly... only at Girly Camp huh.

Sunday morning brought more good weather and some of the girls were on the hill before the crows! Sore but determined, the girls eased into the morning's challenges and then re-grouped to attempt a little more freestyle action with everyone attempting and achieving something they had not done before, whether it was succeeding at riding a set of rollers without falling over or going for a new grab.

A truly thrilling morning on the hill and fun weekend was brought to an end with prize-giving ceremony, with prizes and goody bags generously donated by NIKITA, EARTH2AIR, DEMON SNOW, SP, LUSH COSMETICS, BOARDOLOGY and EXTREME HORIZON/NORTHCORE SURF.
