Wilz Wood's Photo Diary

Now summer seems to be upon us Remolition decided to mark the occasion with a good old freeride meet at the local haunt of resident artist Dan Wilson. With an aim of meeting at half eleven we of course finally started riding after 1, with the sun out and more cameras than I, being the days invalid, could carry. The days riding started slowly with a little jib on random stuff we found near the car park, before a chilled out run down 'the yaffle,' a long winding path. Following on from this warm up came the bomb hole, aptly named after the terrorist bomb making kit discovered in the woods, with drop offs galore. However a log quickly grabbed the attention of Myles, Dan and John Barry who proceded to chuck themselves at it in a rich tapestry of ways. First off the attempts to stall on it, rock fakie it or generally mount it came, followed by attempts at wall riding it, leading to several body grinds. Now having tasted a tiny morsel of gnar the riders appetites where led them over the other side of the woods which involved more trees and speed. Another session quickly established itself with the track running as fast as ever, however due to the overwhelming heat and Betty Swollocks arriving a short jib session near the car park concluded the day. With cameras stuffed full of images, soggy pads and exhausted bodies it was back to Dan's art studio for a brew and a chat about the season of competitions ahead of us, can't wait.
