Australian Dylan Warren rocks up for an interview Hi Dylan and welcome to Remolition, please introduce yourself and your boarding background Yo! yeah im Dylan Warren aka Dyldawg. im from Melbourne, AUSTRALIA. ive been boarding for about 5 or more years. ive always skated. i first started out when my mate took me down to a golf course, shredded there on a old BHI and loved it ever since. i am currently riding for MUNRO mountainboards and ride in DAMAGE boardriders. What boards do you have in your Quiver? MUNRO Raven pro - f3s, matrix lites, rockstar pros. MBS frame board cant rember what model. and a bunch of snapped MBS decks How would you describe your riding, Style or Shred? yeah love smooth and stylish riding. i ride freestyle mostly - streets, jumps, gaps. also dont mind bombing hills and slashin some dirt. If I turned up in Australia with my Mountainboard, where should I head for and why? There must be endless amounts of sick terrain to be ridden... The block next door to my place, i have built alot of jibs and jumps there, too bad when someone builds a house there. Loch: slopestyle course and boardercross track MUNRO downhill course: the Gnarliest place i have ever riddin, a 1.5km downhill track over the ruffest terrain youll ever ride. Altona BMX track: sick set off tables with a roll in. Melbourne city: heeps of rad urban spots. What riders do you think most influenced your style, not necessarily just other Mountainboarders? yeah defently alot of skateboarders and snowboarders influenced my style. also my mate Ryan Slater, he is the king of style.
Who are the big names in Australian Mountainboarding and do you hear much about riders from other countries? The big names in Australia are Ryan Slater and Jarrad Cronin. i hear Joe Dixon, Alex Downie and Tom Kirkman are killin it over in the uk, also the BFC looks pretty sick.
How big is Mountainboarding over there? I imagine Australia has the same problem as America where riders travel for days to meet up due to the size of the country? yeah yeah you guys are lucky to have a smal country i think the uk is the size of Victoria, the state i live in. We are always travellin to meet up for a ride..
What do you see in the future of Mountainboarding? not that you have any specific psychic qualities... well lucky i am psychic - i can see it progress to be big or bigger than snowboarding and skateboarding and i can see people throwing crazy tricks. What places have you seen or hear about that need to be ridden? I definately wanna come up to europe and ride the centres and also check out the U.S. Where can I find out more about shredding some prime Aussie topsoil? Thanks mate; on ya! peace DYLDAWG01
