Pre 2014 Warm Up: Adrenaline Alley

With 2014 around the corner, December 30th seemed like a good time to burn off the Christmas dinner and get back on the board. However with mother nature doing what she does best in the UK, that is throw down a load of wind and rain, the options to ride were pretty limited. However one group of Wheely-Plankers decided it was the perfect time to have an indoor skatepark sesh. Matt and Andy Brind, Aiden and Callum Beamish, Pete Hills (yes, Pete Hills!), Mark Adams, Angus MacDonald and Amon Shaw decided to take to the dry ramps of Adrenaline Alley in Corby.

I went along to help Matt Brind get his spring back into his trucks, but thought I would take some photos whilst I was there. My good friend, Zeemon Erhardt, and Jack Dudley also came along armed with camera equipment! Lei Leonard also joined with her trusty video-capture-box to film the action, hopefully to be seen on mountainboard.tv soon! Here’s an overload of pictures from myself, Zeemon and Jack to show you what went down:

Every one of the riders quickly got into the swing of things and started going big on all the features in the park. Both Brinds were going huge as they usually do; Matt was fearlessly pulling his feet out of his bindings for something a bit special and Andy was lunching himself into stylish spins and grabs. Pete Hills and Callum Beamish decided to ignore the fact they haven’t been on boards for a while and threw down some backflips. Aiden was throwing himself around quarter pipes like no body’s business, Angus and Amon were showing as much, if not more, steeze than they have all year and Mark Adams has shown he is one to watch in 2014 by landing a Frontside 720 Tailgrab.

For those who haven’t heard of it before, Adrenaline Alley is “one of Europe’s Largest and Leading indoor ramp park & performance centre”. With 9 huge sections of the park, it has something that will suit every style of riding at any ability. You can easily spend a whole day there and still not have enough time to hit everything in the park. There’s load of information about the park and how to become a member to check it out yourself on their website http://www.adrenalinealley.co.uk/

Big thanks to everyone who made it a great day and to Adrenaline Alley for providing an awesome park. If you haven’t already, check it out sometime soon!
