Summer Comps

Get to these upcoming epic events

This saturday 24th June is Dirt Dessert!

This third comp is held just outside Kranj in Slovenia, where there is beautiful BX and freestyle to behold.

At the foothills of Jost, the team have prepared a thrilling track for racing and the freestyle line has been completely renovated with 4 sick features: an increased twin tube rail, a bigger booter (constuction pic below!), new hip jump and long boardslide tube.

As they say in Kranj, “Good vibes, good friends, good times to remeber!!!”

Coming on saturday 1st July in the UK is MountFest:

Previously known as Let’s Get Creative and presented by Stitched Boards, this fun laidback event moves to Bugs Boarding for the first time…

It combines:

awesome music from live bands (the excellent Ska-punk Convicts, Shire Funk emcee’s and more):

arty types doing street-art style painting, and a unique exhibition of wheelieboard-related visual goodness in the Bugs Riders Lounge:

‘circus skills’ like slackline, juggling, poi, etc, and a return of the balance ship?

and of course there may well be a bit of mountainboarding too! Probably the usual assault course and apple bobbing with some chicken chasing thrown in for good measure, some dopestyle slopestyle and other random funner than fun fun including smoke grenades, paint powders, water balloon mayhem.

There will be loads to do and see so go along, let yer hair down and blag a load of free stickers 🙂

Then on 13th – 16th July is THE WORLDS!

The big one: get to Compiegne in France for this unique international event…

With riders from all over Earth attending, this will be a landmark comp with world titles for both disciplines up for grabs.

It’s been 5 years since a world Freestyle and the game has moved on… The floodlit final will be magic

The awesome venue is AMC’s mountainboard and mountainbike park in Venette, near Compiègne, an hour away from Paris. They’ve got a sick freestyle set-up, well worthy, and the track is a tactical monster…

So who’s who? Will Stirrups out gun Brindy in the air? Will Diego take masters on his home turf? Will Senka take gold?

The UK’s Matt Brind is current champ and has the punditry down: visit his blog to read the FULL LODOWN

Don’t miss the chance to catch up with like-minded people. The vibe will be chilled- there’s much love throughout our amazing community- but the competition is serious! The Pro’s want this and they’re not mucking about.

There will of course be camping, bbqs, music, and maybe a little partying too. Exciting times yo!
